2024 Finals (Guangzhou, China)


Guangzhou, December 3, 2024 — The 2024 “Maker in China” International SME Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition finals, held in Guangzhou’s Nansha district, showcased cutting-edge solutions from around the globe, with projects spanning next-generation information technology, biopharmaceuticals, clean energy, environmental protection, and semiconductors.
The champion title went to a Macau team for its Intelligent Storage and Integrated Design & Packaging Testing technology, recognized for its high degree of innovation and strong commercialization potential.
The first runner-up was awarded to a Hong Kong project developing a Next-Generation Ultrahigh-Speed Integrated Photonic Chip, aimed at revolutionizing high-speed data transmission.
The second runner-up went to a mainland Chinese team for its All-Scenario Rapid Antibiotic Resistance Detection Platform, enabling fast and accurate diagnosis to combat antimicrobial resistance.
Beyond the awards, the event facilitated significant cross-border business opportunities, with 10 domestic and overseas projects signing landing intention agreements to establish operations in mainland China.
